At horsescotland training in May Erik and I concentrated on getting the boys to learn half pass in preparation for the Novice Regional Final at Belsay, they are both slowly starting to get the idea of it! With Rosie we worked through the 2* test for Floors, that enabled us to produce a really good test on the day for one of our best scores at 2*. Showjump training with John was as always very interesting and all the horses jumped fab and are feeling on great form!

So Floors was our main event in May with Rosie (Dunbog Gypsy Rose) in the 2* and Lucky competing in his first 1*. Rosie was her usual fab self, she jumped a foot perfect double clear to finish in 10th place. Lucky (Don't Say Goodbye) was also very impressive for his first international event, he also jumped a great double clear to finish 13th in a very big section.

In the first few days of June, Rosie and I travelled down to Little Downham in Cambridgeshire for our first Advanced run of the season. We did a PB dressage of 31.4 and an amazing double clear over a big course to finish in 8th place. I am absolutely over the moon with this result!

We got home from Little Downham late Friday night, we had a quick change around and took Finn and Lucky to Belsay on Saturday. They were both feeling rather exuberant in the dressage and added a few new movements of their choice! This meant our scores weren't as good as I had hoped for. However they both redeemed themselves though by jumping fab double clears. Finn finished 3rd and Lucky 6th.

After horsescotland training in June, they are all having a bit of a mid season break, Our next event will be at Aske at the beginning of July.
