How did you become involved within equestrianism and how has your career developed?
I was born into a very established equestrian family. Both of my parents competed and by the time I was born I had three older sisters, all of who had taken up the sport. At the beginning I would take my pony along to a show for a bit of fun but I quickly became very competitive! As my pony career progressed I realised that this was what I wanted to do as my profession. From the age of 12, I competed horses alongside ponies. I found that competing against seniors really helped me to develop my riding technique a lot quicker.
Gaining international experience through juniors and young riders has opened the door for me to compete in some of the top venues across Europe, which I hope is just the beginning for my Senior career.
Who is your sporting hero? Why?:
Scott Brash. Like me, Scott grew up in Scotland. He has gone on to prove to the world that even if you don’t live in the middle of Europe, there is nothing stopping you becoming one of the best riders in
the world. No ambitions or hopes are impossible.
