Well August has just been fantastic with being able to get out showjumping again in Scotland with our local centres being able to run the first shows since before lockdown.
The start of the month seen us take our first trip to Bolesworth for the National Championships. Cancun was 2nd in the National 1.20m Final, 4th in the 1.15m Members Cup Final, 4th in the 1.20m series and 6th in the Silver League Final. Glow was 7th in the National 1.20m Final and 8th in the 1.20m series.
What an experience it was to compete at such an amazing venue and I even got to jump both horses in the main ring which was pretty special.
At our first Scottish show outdoors at Morris Equestrian the horses jumped great with great results too. Cancun won the 1.30m both days and Glow was 2nd in the 1.20m. Joey was great jumping round the British Novice both days at his first ever show.
Muirmill who are our other local centre ran a mid week show and with being on furlough still we went along to support them. Joey jumped double clear in the British Novice and won the class. Cancun was 1st and Glow 2nd in the 1.20m.
We took a trip to Blueridge to support their cat 2 show with Cancun and Glow who both jumped brilliant coming home with Cancun 1st and Glow 3rd in the 1.20m.
It has been a fantastic month of showjumping with getting Joey out to his first show, the two older horses moving up the heights again and making progress with them all. I am really looking forward to September as we have our first HorseScotland training since March and lots of lovely shows coming up too.
