Lucy Stewart September Blog ⭐️

September has been another great month out at shows with the horses achieving all our goals we had set.

horsescotland Squad Training was amazing. It was so lovely to be back and see the whole team again, have a catch-up of what’s been happening and making adaptable plans for going forward.

Cancun and Glow both went great in their flatwork sessions with Erik and we made progress over the 2 days with lots of homework to help to continue the improvements.

On the first day with John, Cancun and Glow did some grid work and on the second day we worked on distances and jumping courses. Both horses went great both days. Joey went amazing in his first ever session with John, we definitely worked very hard and learnt a lot but great to be able to work with John with him.

Robyn was impressed with the progress I’m making during my physio session and I passed my fitness test with Lauren so all my personal training has paid off.

Joey had a great lesson with James Smith and we have made good progress over the last month. Our results this month have been very good.

Greenland’s: Glow 1st in 1.20m and 2nd in 1.20m, Cancun 3rd in 1.30m and Joey 5th in British Novice.

SNEC: Glow 1st in 1.20m and 3rd in Silver League Qualifier for National Indoor Finals(2020 HOYS), Cancun 1st in 1.30m and 1st in Silver League Qualifier for National Indoor Finals (2020 HOYS) and Joey jumped great rounds moving up to the Discovery.

RHASS: Cancun 1st in 1.25m and 1st in 1.15m Scottish Champions Tour Final. Glow 4th in 1.25m and Joey jumped a lovely double clear in the 90cm.

Southview: Cancun 1st in 1.25m and 1st in Silver League Qualifier. Glow 1st in 1.20m, 8th in Silver League Qualifier and 1st in 1.20m. Joey moved up to 1.05m and jumped some great rounds.

I am really delighted with our results for the last few weeks and I am delighted to have qualified for the National 1.30m Final next year at the National Championships.

I am excited to be jumping at the National Indoor Championships next week and hopefully have some more good results to share in my next blog.
