Top horses- 

Let’s Hope’ (Hope) is a 14yo warmblood mare who we have had for 5 years, she was originally bought for my sister but I took over the reins when she went to uni 3 years ago. She is certainly a character but has been a wonderful horse for me and shown me the ropes in seniors going to HOYS in the foxhunter final. I also have 2 new horses on the program; 12yo ‘I’m Presley CJS’ (Tia) and 8yo ‘Miss Magic’ (Magic), both of which I am very excited to see what is to come in the future.

Past placings and achievments-

Last year Hope won the young riders championship at the Scottish Extravaganza as well as winning the 2 fence challenge at SHOYS for the 3rd year in a row - being the only horse to clear 1.75m in the final round. My other mare ‘Up to Date Showgirl’, who is now in foal, won the young masters final at the RHS as well as qualifying and jumping the U25 final at the London International.

Goals- 

My goals for this year are to step Hope up to 1.45/1.50 level by doing some International Stairway classes and the Grand Prix at the RHS. I’d like to try and qualify her for the Talent seekers at HOYS and U25 at London. I’m hopefully aiming Magic at the newcomers at HOYS and Tia for the foxhunter and potentially U25 at the end of the year. I’d also like to aim for a young riders team for GB next year.

One of my main longer term goals is to produce my own young horse all the way up to top level, my 5yo ‘Uptons Posh Spice’ is looking to be very promising and I’d love to get her to HOYS one day and have her in the young riders classes one day.

In the next 2 years on the program I’d like to become more established and competitive at 1.40+ level and look forward to continuing working with the fantastic team of coaches to tweak and strengthen my own and my horses performances.
