horsescotland Performance Programme applications are now closed
The horsescotland Performance Programme is funded via sportscotland Lottery funding. It is a two year programme and the next cycle is scheduled to begin in May 2021. The programme is designed to identify, support and develop athletes who demonstrate the potential to progress to Senior Championship success in the future by developing the foundation skills required for future performance.
Our coaches for the programme are John Ledingham for jumping and Harry Payne for flatwork and they will be supported by guest coaches. The first of these is confirmed as Ros Morgan who will be joining us for 2 training sessions in year 1 of the cycle.
We are also pleased to confirm that in line with feedback from the Olympic discipline Member Bodies we will be adding SNEC as a venue and will be running 3 training sessions per year from here. We will have access to both arenas at SNEC and so will be provided a dedicated 60 x 20 arena for flatwork sessions and test riding. The remaining 3 sessions will be held at Morris Equestrian Centre.
