My Story
Year of birth- 1997
Occupation- Business Development Manager EQUIDRY

Top horse- Jackpot DS - After buying him as a project, he started his career late as an 8yo, having only been to three shows in his life previously to this. Now 10 years old, he has exceeded all my expectations of him. He is an incredibly brave and big-hearted horse, who gives his absolute all in the ring.

Placings and achievments-
At 19 years old, I jumped young riders and placed upto 3* Grand Prix level. I regularly jumped ranking classes and had a relatively high world ranking. I took a break from the sport at a higher level for a few years and it is only now with the development of my horse Jackpot that I am beginning to step back up. My recent highlights include, 3rd place in the Newcomer’s Final at HOYS, 3rd in the Winter Premier Grand Prix at Morris, and 2nd in a 4* 1.45 Ranking in Vejer, Spain.

Goals-
My aims over the next year would be:
- Winning a national level Grand Prix
- Qualify the Foxhunter Final at HOYS
- Compete in a 4* Grand Prix

Specifically, my long term goal would be to compete for GB on a senior nations cup team. More generally, but equally important, is my aim to strike a balance between selling and keeping good horses. I will consider it a success if I can be in a financial position in the future to keep a couple really good horses solely on the basis of furthering my career.
Training with experts in their fields is without doubt the best way to further your career. I have no doubt that the expertise that is on offer from the Horse Scotland team will help both myself and my horses progress over the next two years. Crucially, this help is across the board, with not only riding training, but physical, mental, and business advice available. These are such crucial factors in working towards success in a sport that offers such unique challenges.
