Dressage. Para Grade 3, Gold/Grand Prix

Libgate Spirit (aka Forest) is a 14.2h, 2008 ISH gelding who has had an extensive career as an eventer. He has done extremely well transitioning to pure dressage, especially as a mount for a para rider. He placed 3rd in the 2024 BD Para Summer Championships at the bronze level, 7th in the 2025 BD Para Winter Championships at the silver level and 4th in the Summer Championships, showing clear improvement each time. In 2026 Forest will compete in International competitions.

Little Beanie is the latest (2026) addition to the team. She is a 2019 14.1h Sports Pony mare who has been competing at Pony FEI and Medium level. She will compete at Gold/Grand Prix in 2026 and Kyla has high hopes for their transition to International competitions in 2026 also.

My goal is to continue to improve on my scores at the Gold/Grand Prix level in 2026 and compete in my first international, with both Forest and Beanie, in 2026.

Ultimately it would be amazing to represent GB in the Paralympics, so 2026 and 2027 are important years for us. I would like to be a role model for other younger para riders. The ADP provides me with the training to take my riding, and scores, to the next level. The attention to riding fitness and symmetry along with the improvement of every detail of my riding, gives me the opportunity to move up and achieve my goals.
