I have been involved in the equestrian industry for over 30 years, from a non horsey background and started as a working pupil at a local riding school working up through the ranks to become a qualified BHS, UKCC & BD coach.  

 

Over the last 20 years as a self employed coach,  I have been extremely lucky to experience and fulfil many roles – from Pony Club Chief Instructor, to coaches mentor, training and preparing students for industry exams, and for the last 5 years, as Youth Rep and Chef d’equipe for BD Scotland’s Youth Squad which I am incredibly passionate about. As a team we have enjoyed some amazing results including taking home the Youth Home International trophy in 2019.  

 

I now have a full time position as Sport Development Officer within the Sport Operations team in British Dressage, working remotely from Aberdeenshire.  

 

Outwith horses, I am a keen runner and cyclist with a competitive edge!
