Full Membership

Full membership is open to organisations that are a Scottish equestrian organisation or the Scottish branch of an equestrian organisation responsible for a discipline or equestrian activity in Scotland provided that;

​

• there is no other organisation already representing that discipline or equestrian activity in the Company as a Full Member; and

• where there is a British governing body of a discipline or equestrian activity that is a member of the British Equestrian Federation, the Company will only grant Full Membership to a branch or organisation representing that discipline or equestrian activity in Scotland with the agreement of the relevant British body or if it is a part of or affiliated to the British governing body

• application is made to the Company in the form required by the Directors.

Full Membership Benefits

• Guidance to affiliated organisations on how best to apply for Lottery funding from sportscotland

• Direct Interface with Scottish Government

• Access to a range of policies, e.g. equality, child protection, health and safety

• Access to the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme Registration

• Advice and support helpline

• Programme support, e.g. Rider Development, Coach Development, Volunteer Development

• Promotion of Member Body activity and events on horsescotland website, App. and newsletter

• Access to Scottish Coaching Certificate Resources and Candidate Funding

• Access to horsescotland investment support

Full Membership Annual Membership Costs (1st April – 31st March)

5,000 or over registered members-   £575
2,000 to 4,999 registered members-  £475
1,000 to 1,999 registered members-    £375
100 to 999  registered members- £309
0 to 99 registered members-  £103

It is horsescotland policy that new members joining between 1st April – 30th September will pay full fee. Members joining between 1st October – 31st March will pay 50% of the fee.
